Elton John recently revealed that he has undergone numerous surgeries, leading him to jokingly say, “There’s not much of me left.”

Elton John humorously remarked about his extensive list of organ removals due to various health issues he has faced over the years.

During the New York Film Festival premiere of his documentary Elton John: Never Too Late on Tuesday, October 1, he delivered an emotional speech. “Honestly, there’s not much of me left,” he quipped. “I’ve had my tonsils, adenoids, and appendix removed. I no longer have a prostate.”

He continued, “I’m missing my right hip, left knee, and right knee. In fact, the only thing that remains is my left hip. But I’m still here, and I can’t thank you all enough; you’re the reason I am who I am today.”

Elton also expressed deep gratitude for having David and their two children, Zachary and Elijah, in his life. “I want to thank David, Zachary, and Elijah for making me the happiest man in the world,” he said.

Elton and David first met in 1993 and quickly fell in love. They entered a civil partnership in 2005, and after same-sex marriage was legalized in the UK, they married in 2014.

He reflected on his happiness, saying, “I found complete and utter happiness and bliss when I met David and had our children. I’ve never felt joy like I do now.”

The Cold Heart artist retired from touring in July 2023 after his final Farewell Yellow Brick Road concert in Stockholm. “As you know, I chose to stop touring because I’m 77. I’ve accomplished everything I wanted to musically,” he told the audience after the documentary.
