Heartwarming Moment – Teen with Autism Unveils His Christmas Gifts from Santa

Gabe, a 13-year-old nonverbal autistic boy, is lovingly raised by his moms, Nikki and Caroline. For the past 11 years, Nikki has shared Gabe’s journey on social media, aiming to promote understanding and show the positivity of living with autism.

Though there are challenges, the family is filled with happiness. Caroline feels grateful that their story has inspired many people, and together, the moms hope to reach even more people to share their journey.

They make sure Gabe feels loved and treat him like any other child. He’s a joyful boy who loves activities like swimming and playing music. This Christmas, his moms had a special surprise for him: presents from Santa.

Nikki wakes Gabe up and leads him to the living room, where the Christmas tree stands. As they explain to him that Santa had visited and enjoyed the cookies they left, Gabe’s excitement grows. He eagerly picks up a gift from Genia, a supporter on social media, and opens it, then continues to unwrap all the gifts under the tree in one sitting—something he’s never done before, as it usually takes him days or weeks to open them all.

Their online followers showered the family with heartfelt messages. One follower shared, “His mother is so thoughtful and patient with her son. She is the star on the Christmas tree!” Another commented, “Love this boy, love the way he moves, walking gracefully down the stairs, sitting with elegance.”
