Kate Middleton is keeping a beloved tradition alive and offering a glimpse behind the scenes!
On November 13, her team shared a surprise video of the freshly printed invitations for her fourth annual carol service. Just announced, Princess Kate, 42, will once again host the Together at Christmas concert at Westminster Abbey—her iconic wedding venue—on Friday, December 6.
“Something exciting is coming…,” her team posted on X, with a Christmas tree and music note emoji. The caption continued, “The invitations are fresh off the press for this year’s Together At Christmas Carol Service, returning to Westminster Abbey on Friday 6 December. We can’t wait for you to join us! Tune in on @ITV and @ITVX on Christmas Eve.”

The brief video, set to cheerful jingle bell music, captured a metal press stamping out the royal invitations for the event. While the full design of the invitation remained a mystery, viewers caught a glimpse of the elegant white cards adorned with Princess Kate’s royal cypher.
Stamped in gold, the cypher displays a “C” for Catherine, Princess Kate’s full name, beneath a crown.
Kensington Palace shared that 1,600 guests will be invited to this year’s holiday concert. The Princess of Wales aims to honor individuals who have gone above and beyond to help others in need, embodying the message that “love is the greatest gift we can receive.”
Kensington Palace stated, “This theme takes inspiration from the Christmas story, encouraging us to reflect on the experiences of others and the fundamental human need for giving and receiving empathy.”
At midnight on November 13, Kensington Palace announced that the Princess of Wales will host her Together at Christmas concert in London next month. This event is anticipated to be Princess Kate’s next major appearance, as she has gradually returned to royal duties following her completion of chemotherapy, announced on September 9. The Princess had stepped away from the public eye for much of 2024 to focus on her health, after sharing in March that she was undergoing cancer treatment.
Prince William is expected to join Princess Kate at the Together at Christmas concert, along with other members of the royal family. However, the attendance of three special guests—their children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6—won’t be confirmed until the day of the event. Last year, all three children attended, marking Prince Louis’ debut at the concert.
Princess Kate began this annual tradition in December 2021 as a tribute to individuals and organizations who went above and beyond for their communities during the COVID pandemic. Since then, she has hosted the concert each year, honoring those making a difference across the U.K. Prince George and Princess Charlotte joined for the first time in 2022, and the carol service has quickly become a cherished fixture on the royal family’s holiday calendar.
The Princess of Wales recently joined the royal family for two back-to-back events in London honoring Remembrance on November 9 and 10. She attended the Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall on Saturday and the Remembrance Sunday service at The Cenotaph War Memorial, marking her first series of official appearances since announcing two months ago that she had completed chemotherapy.
“Being a senior member of the royal family and participating in these ceremonial events is obviously important to her,” royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith shared with PEOPLE, reflecting on the significance of Princess Kate’s return.
“She is clearly a vital part of the royal family, significant both symbolically and practically as a future Queen. It was reassuring for people to see her,” adds royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith. “You can’t say she is fully back yet… but she is making her return.”
